Happy Worship Wednesday!
I don’t know how long I will be doing these kind of ‘worship’ posts but this song is inspired by my upcoming article on the Welsh Revival (Coming SOON!). The song, Here is Love, Vast as the Ocean, was written by the Welsh preacher, William Rees (1802-1883). The third and fourth verses were added by William Williams.
‘This song had a great impact during the Welsh Revival of 1904 and was known as the ‘love song of the revival’.
‘Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Lovingkindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom,
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten,
Throughout Heav’n’s eternal days.
On the mount of crucifixion,
Fountains opened deep and wide;
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
Poured incessant from above,
And Heav’n’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.
Let me all Thy love accepting,
Love Thee, ever all my days;
Let me seek Thy kingdom only
And my life be to Thy praise;
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see.
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou Thyself hast set me free.
In Thy truth Thou dost direct me
By Thy Spirit through Thy Word;
And Thy grace my need is meeting,
As I trust in Thee, my Lord.
Of Thy fullness Thou art pouring
Thy great love and power on me,
Without measure, full and boundless,
Drawing out my heart to Thee.’
Listen to it here in Welsh:
Happy Wednesday! Hope you are all having a good week so far!
1 Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.
Enjoy this worship clip from Cory Asbury: All is for Your Glory
The Book of Revelation is filled with brilliant insight to the Glory of God that surrounds His Heavenly Throne. One thing that helps me get the Words from the pages into my spirit is through song. There are a lot of amazing worship songs out there but I wanted to give you some that are filled with the theme of Revelation, especially from chapters 1 and 4. There is something about praying and singing His Word that stirs the spirit up.

I saw this song on Youtube and had to share it with you all. I am a huge Misty Edwards fan and I love creative poetry that gives honor to the Creator. Check out this song that is inspired by Misty Edwards and also uses Misty’s chorus from, Soul Cry, off of her Fling Wide album. So here it is by: Lady Eagle 8 Ft. Shekina G- Soul Cry
Hope you enjoyed it and share it with your friends!

MUSIC AND ME:
When I started my journey back to the Lord I realized how much music could lift you up or bring you down. I wanted to get closer to the Lord so I started reading the Word, but I was still listening to the same music. I LOVE MUSIC, but most, if not all of the lyrics in the music I was listening to was a complete contradiction to what I was reading in the Bible. I didn’t realize how much words could change my moods and feelings. I finally came to the conclusion (with the HELP of the Holy Spirit), that I could no longer entertain both of these worlds. It says in Matthew 6:24, ” No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other…” Now I am not saying that all music is bad, please don’t take it that way. I know the Lord has anointed many musicians and singers out there and it is not wrong to listen to them or to follow them. But please be sensitive to what you are allowing yourself to consume.
Just remember that the Lord SPOKE everything into creation, we also carry a certain power in our own words. What words are you allowing to be spoken over you? I know God gives the talent, even to those that do not follow Him. So be praying for those musicians and artist. How amazing would it be if mainstreams music artists had an encounter with the Lord and started influencing their fans with a message of love and truth?
If you guys are hungry and searching for more, fill your airwaves with Cory Asbury’s new CD, “Let Me See Your Eyes”. This CD has both soaking and upbeat worship.
