“The principles of Jefferson are the axioms of a free society.” Abraham Lincoln
This site is dedicated to history makers, writers, founders, and forerunners. Today marks the birthday of a gentleman who was all of that and more. So let’s give honor and respect to one of our great American founders; Thomas Jefferson. Mr. Jefferson was a Governor, the first United States Secretary of State, the second Vice President, and the third President of the United States of America. He also was a founder/author of the, Declaration of Independence and a forerunner for religious freedom.
Today marks the 266th birthday of this American Hero; sadly it also marks a day that has lost what was so hard fought for by him and many others. He once said, “Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. ”, I believe we are in that time; unfortunately that’s just how, “we the people” have let history run it’s course. What if Thomas Jefferson kept his mouth shut in the pivotal age that he was in? No, he was too genius for that, “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” is what he said. This tells us that today, in the midst of this tyranny and corruption we must speak the truth to bring history back into the hands of the just. Thomas Jefferson said, “History, in general, only informs us of what bad government is.” It’s apparent that we are in an appalling part of history; the perfect time to rise up, speak life, grab the wheel, and bring this nation back to the, “home of the brave, land of the free!” Not for our own sake, but so that the Lord may look upon us again as a nation of believers that are deserving of His favor and protection.
