Have you caught wind of the latest HISTORIC VOTE to defund Planned Parenthood by stripping them of their taxpayer funding?

What is Planned Parenthood might be your first question…It is an organization that, “is many things to many people, to me, it is the LARGEST abortion chain in America! They do about *320,000 abortions a year!

If that’s not enough they have recently been exposed on undercover cameras for,

“Willing to aid and abet the trafficking of underage “sex workers” by offering advice to an undercover investigator posing as a “pimp” on how to obtain secret abortions, contraception, and STD tests.” Lifesitenews.com

You can find that video coverage right HERE

And you can find other videos of PP and their abuses HERE

How much funding do they actually get a year from taxpayer funding…Around *$350,000,000!!!

What was the vote in the House of Representatives…It was an overpowering majority vote of 240 to 185! A huge victory for pro lifers!

And just so you are aware, the voting of this amendment is not removing all money that the government offers to health care providers…NO, it is just removing the funds from the health care providers that provide the killing of innocent babies with the money that is offered to them.

I believe Lila Rose response to this momentous news says it best.

“We applaud those in Congress who championed the safety of women, young girls and children today, and refused to funnel hundreds of millions of tax dollars into an organization that furthers the trafficking of minors and enables sexual abusers. We now turn our attention to the Senate. Now they must examine the facts and move to pull the plug on subsidizing Planned Parenthood’s exploitation of the most vulnerable among us. The case to cease funding is crystal clear. But for any Senator who remains unsure, imagine explaining to your constituents that you voted to keep sending $350 million of their tax dollars to a ‘non-profit’ that puts young girls in harm’s way and made $63 million in profits by aborting 300,000 unborn children last year. It’s time once and for all to stop financing these activities.” – Lila Rose, President of Live Action

Sadly, in a new video, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards condemns House passage on February 18 of an amendment that would defund PP by saying ,

“It’s funding that saves lives, and they killed it”…

The abortion of 320,000 murdered baby’s is not saving lives, it is in fact the killing of lives!

This is far from over, as now the amendment must be passed by the Senate.  The opposition is heated and the line has been drawn very clear.  LIFE or DEATH?  I pray that you join in this HISTORIC CAUSE by spreading the word and taking a stand for LIFE.  The passing of this amendment will be a day to remember.

Hey!

I just read this insightful article by Misty Edwards that was published in Charisma Magazine.  Misty has been in the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri from the beginning and has an amazing heart for the deeper things of God.  Her faithfulness to her worship calling has brought out some of the most profound music unto the Lord that I have heard.  I love how grounded she is in the Word of God and how it is released through her prophetic singing and psalms. Her passion to bring the harp and bowl reality that is in heaven, here to earth is encouraging.  So, check out the article below!

Hello Friends,

I am re “hi-jacking” this from Renee Loux blog in hopes that you would help support this amazing family!

HiJacked for a Good Cause! Nominate Renee for EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER

// January 28th, 2011 // Loux Family News

Sorry, Ne, you’ve been Hijacked!

This is Renee’s sister in law, Tracie Loux. I found out today that Extreme Home Makeover is looking for a candidate for a makeover here in the state of MISSOURI!!!

As you know that my sister -in- law, Renee’ and her beautiful children lost their husband and daddy in 2009 just 2 days before Christmas. Renee and Derek worked together trumpeting the cause of the orphan. They not only spoke out in defense of the fatherless, they put actions to their words by bringing children into their own home.

Renee and Derek’s first son, Josiah was born with Spina Bifida and passed away at age 2 1/2. Josiah’s incredible life opened their eyes and ours to the precious gift of children with special needs. They went on to have 2 beautiful daughters Sophia and Michaela. Over the past 10 years, Derek and Renee adopted 8 children. Their 5 daughters, Teyolla, Keyolla, Telma, Leeann, and Sana are all adopted from the Marshall Islands . Through Derek and Renee’s loving parenting, much prayer, and devotion to their daughters, these precious beauties have walked through incredible healing and restoration. Their 3 precious boys (Sasha, Ethan, and Silas) were abandoned at birth in an orphanage in Ukraine. Sasha has Spina Bifida. Ethan and Silas both have Down syndrome. The boys were severely malnourished, emotionally neglected and were suffering on so many levels. Derek and Renee literally nursed Ethan, a 5 year old weighing 11 lbs, unable to walk or even crawl, back to life! As a family we witness this starving, sick little boy come back to life, a true miracle of God’s kindness and his parent’s loving commitment.

After, her husband’s death, my precious sister in law, not only walked through grief and suffering with her children in such a remarkable way, she also stood tall, determined to carry on the mission that she and Derek worked passionately for- defending orphans and standing for justice.

Renee currently serves as the director of the Orphan Justice Center in Kansas City, MO with the mission to RESCUE, ADOPT, and RESTORE! The goal of OJC is to raise awareness, equip families to adopt, and establish safe, restorative communities for orphans.

In addition on a personal level, Renee continues to walk heroically, bringing orphans into her home and calling them her own. Since Derek’s death, Renee has brought a beautiful 1 year old boy, Judah, into her home, has taken in a little blind girl, Joanna to assist her parents in getting her the care and education she needs to thrive, and has opened her home and offered to legally adopt a 30 year old, Dawn, an orphan herself, who is working on the streets of Ecuador caring for orphans.

Renee has been given 45 acres in Grandview, MO to help her walk out the vision she and Derek had to build a home with space enough to personally take in 30+ orphans. Their dream together was to take in children with special needs and provide them with a loving home where they could be restored and healed. Their dream was to have horticultural therapy, equine therapy, along with traditional therapies (physical, occupational and speech).

When I heard today that Extreme Home Makeover was looking for a deserving family in the state of Missouri, I couldn’t think of a more deserving family. This precious family: Renee, her mother Flo, and the 12 children currently in their home, share a 4 bedroom home that is bursting at the seams. They have exhausted every available space and have simply run out of room. Renee doesn’t know the word “No” when it comes to children in need. Their garage and family room have both been converted to extra sleeping space, and there is simply no room left. In addition, their current home has three floors and requires Renee to lift Sasha and his wheelchair from level to level so that he can be with the family.

When someone as rare and precious as my sister Renee desires to love and live her life in a away that to some may seem extreme, extravagant, or hard to even fathom, it seems just wrong to see something like MORE ROOM hold her back from LOVING LARGE!

If you would please help spread the word and nominate Renee Loux for this amazing opportunity to be considered for an Extreme Home Makeover. If you have been touched by this story, I would also encourage you to blog, post on FB or share in anyway possible.

Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ (Library of Spiritual Classics, Volume 2)Experiencing the Depths of Jesus Christ by Jeanne Marie Bouvier De LA Motte Guyon

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As a believer we should all be learning from the scripture on how to go deeper in the depths of Jesus Christ, Madame Guyon has tapped into this reality through simple and practical steps. As she puts it, “We have all been called to the depths of Christ just as surely as we have been called to salvation.” This book carries spiritual authority that can be applied for every believer today! The impact of this book has affected many saints of old and new and these writings completely shook the Roman Catholic Church. Some called her a heretic for these writings, for which she was imprisoned for; others handed out as many copies as they could which in turn affected entire towns.

I am still processing and learning all that was released in this book and in no way have I reached the depths that Madam Guyon goes into, but I’ve tasted just a little bit to want dive into this deep experience with our Lord. She encourages the reader to continue to advance past each step while laying aside everything else but the Word of the Lord, allowing them to speak to you; you don’t even have to say anything! She starts with the very easy and practical way of prayer reading the scripture, to pure abandonment after Him, “By withdrawing from outward objects, you will constantly draw nearer to God.” I cannot stress enough on how simple it is, but at the same time, for me and probably for many other beginners, there is still a lot of “undoing” and simplifying that is not easy to do. It’s easy to give up and walk away from these truths that Madame Guyon talks about but we are all called to this place of intimacy and we must press in with the Holy Spirit leading us.

I have been very encouraged by this book and plan on reading it many times over as I continue my walk with the Lord. This spiritual engaging with the “Union of God” takes much time and practice…just like anything that you want to be good at! Madame Guyon states it simply, “When something is repeated over and over, it becomes a habit. This is true even of your soul. After much practice your soul forms the habit turning inward to God.” We should all be attaining to reach these depths not through striving and religious duties but out of pure love for Jesus. She states, “If you love Him, you love everything about Him.” How can we draw closer to Him if we don’t continually turn our hearts, souls, and minds, inwards to Him to listen and to gaze upon our beautiful Creator. Jesus loves us all but, “The Lord is very jealous over any saint who is utterly abandoned to Him.”

I know this book will impact your life, take some time to read and re-read it when you can and watch your prayer life explode and your relationship with Jesus catch fire!

Blessings,

Patrick Judah

Hello Friends,

It has now been 10 days since TheCall in Sacramento, California.  I was blessed to be able to attend it with friends and family, what an impactful day!  We were blessed the night before with a sweet compilation of worship and prophecy that released a peace into our hearts that prepared us for a full day of prayer and fasting.  I don’t know if any of you have been to a Call before or if you made it to this one, but they can be physically draining.  I really think that the night of worship before prepared my heart for the day to come.

This years Call was filled with hungry hearts of young and old, it was really cool to see full family’s there with there babies and young children, just as Joel 2:16 says, “Gather the people, sanctify the congregation,Assemble the elders, Gather the children and the nursing infants.”

Cambria Esther Atkins

There is something that happens when you gather the Body of Christ together!  The rest of Joel 2:16 says, “Let the bridegroom come out of his room And the bride out of her bridal chamber.” TheCall brought us all out of our comfort zones, our prayer closets, our churches, and into the public arena to declare our love and devotion to our Bridegroom King, Jesus Christ!  And guess what?  He came and met us where we were and He responded to the cry of our hearts.

The day started with personal reflection and repentance of anything in our own hearts that may be hindering us and those around us from getting closer to the Lord.  It was a time of searching, seeking, and asking what it is that we need to repent of and let go of to move forward.  This Call had a huge Cross in the back that we would draw our attention to so that we could lay it all down before Him, the One who took all our sins and washed it away with His blood as He was nailed to the cross.

After this personal call to repentance we were lead by different leaders in the Body of Christ to pray against some of the devastating immorality and idolatry that plagues our nation, government, social fabric, educational systems, churches, family’s, homes, babies, and personal lives.  Some of these issues included sex trafficking, abortion, homosexuality, immoral governmental leaders, personal compromise, and more.  I must say I was heavily impacted when a documentary film producer of sex trafficking held up a little child’s blood stained clothes that were found at the scene of a sex trafficking bust.  How can this be happening in our nation,  a nation with a deep conviction against slavery?  Yet this is happening in most major U.S. cities! The good news is God is revealing this darkness and answering our prayers by catching the sex traffickers, healing and setting victims free, as well as having Craig’s List ban “Adult Services” on it’s page.  May I remind you, as well as myself, to continue to pray for this issues as we know the Lord is listening and responding.

Another thing that really convicted me was the call sent out for HOLINESS and PURITY!  My generation is so filled with excess and over stimulation that we don’t even know what true holiness and purity even is.  We are surrounded by constant entertainment, technology, fashion, noise, celebrity’s, gossip, slander, drunkenness, compromise, darkness, deception, depression, immorality, etc… that we don’t even have a mindset for what the Lord has called us to.  Corey Russel shared from the stage that,

“Christianity isn’t boring, you are!”

WOW!  How can we know if God is truly fun, exciting, and adventurous if we are giving all of our time to the counterfeit with self seeking pleasures and gratifications?  O’ Lord, set my generation free from the bondage and raise up an army of young reckless abandoned lovers of YOU!  Set us free Lord.  Take our generation from holy-less to HOLINESS!

I know this little blip can’t give you the fullness of what was poured out at the solemn assembly of prayer and fasting but I pray that it will stir you enough to seek out what God is saying to you individually and what He is pouring out to His Body corporately. Join TheCall by responding and joining a world wide movement of lovesick believers that will not back down or compromise until the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Hello Friends,

I hope all of you that are reading this, are aware of TheCall and it’s founder Lou Engle.  If not, may this article encourage you to find out more about them both and even inspire you to attend this upcoming Call in Sacramento, Ca September 3-4, 2010 to see for yourself.

TheCall is not an event. TheCall is a movement emphasizing prayer, worship and fasting for Spiritual breakthrough. It is a nameless and faceless movement joining the generations. It is not a convention of celebrities or rock show. The musicians on stage are worshipers, not entertainers. The board of directors will not receive financial compensation, speakers and leaders come at their own expense.

I have seen Lou Engle at several different events outside of TheCall and his message has always pierced my heart with truth and conviction.   The first time I saw Lou Engle was at a Jesus Culture in Redding California.  He was speaking to a large gathering of teenagers and young adults and the atmosphere was hungry for a deep relationship with Jesus.  Lou Engle was teaching on Joseph and Daniel and was declaring and prophesying over the crowd that God is raising up young ones to live as Daniel and Joseph did.  Then he made a call for those that want to make a vow, like the Nazarites, to come up and commit themselves to the Lord and not to the things of this world.  The front of the room was filled with fiery young ones and the Spirit of the Lord was moving.  Yes, Lou Engle is very intense on the stage and his intensity is followed with words that are even more intense, but the man and the message need to be received! There is something about a message that is filled with fire and passion that reminds me of the apostolic teachings of the disciples and of the Prophets of old in the Bible.  It seems like in this day and age there are too many teaching about how to get comfortable now and how to be accepted by everyone.  From what I have seen and heard from Lou, I know that he has compassion for this nation and for the Words that the Lord has spoken that have upheld this nation.  He has been called to call those that are hungry and are longing to see the Father return to this blessed nation.  He is calling us to a lifestyle of fasting and prayer, not out of a “religious duty” but out of a relationship with Jesus that says, “I am hungry and only You can satisfy and only You can come swiftly with justice to those who cry out day and night for You.”

I also saw him at TheCall San Diego in 2009.  This was another crucial time for the state of California when Prop 8 was being voted on.  The whole day was filled with repentance and crying out for forgiveness.  There is something about gathering together with one voice and one heart that causes you to realize that God is the only answer.  You don’t have to be a scholar of the Bible, you don’t have to have it all figured out, you don’t have to be a pro faster, you don’t have to have the best prayer life ever, you don’t have to be perfect, all you have to be is weak and all you have to do is show up.

This Call in Sacramento is being held at another critical time for our nation and state.  Not only is it the 10th year anniversary of TheCall, but it is also right before the elections and I’d say anytime is a good time to gather the Body of Christ together to fast and pray to see the Lord respond to His people.  The time is now and the trumpets are blowing, will you respond?…BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED!

Also check out this message, CALIFORNIA DREAMING, to hear Lou Engle himself about the history of TheCall and the importance of it all.
See you all there!

Patrick Judah

P.S.

As some of you may know I have been writing about mystics of the past that have had some major impact and influence on our Christian History.  Now, I don’t want to get anyone confused or upset, but I am putting this article under my “Mystic of the Month” category.  I am not titling him to being a mystic in the sense that some may use the word.  However, I feel that Lou Engle, in his passion for prayer and fasting is reviving some of the ancient paths that many of the apostles, disciples, and mystics walked out in their time. Let me know if you have any concerns or questions. Thanks.

The Saint, Not the Day Pt. 1

“The Lord opened the understanding of my unbelieving heart, so that I should recall my sins.” St. Patrick

Because this week is celebrated in memory of St. Patrick, this will be the first of three articles of the Saint’s life.  Consider this a, “mystic of the month BONUS” for those of you that follow the site.  In this post I will cover Ireland before Saint Patrick and Patrick before his Sainthood. To start I would like to clear up some things related to the day of Saint Patrick that have nothing to do with the man of God or his amazing ministry.

If you think you know all about St. Patrick, let’s get one thing straight…Saint Patrick was not Irish! I know it sounds crazy, so if you thought he was, you might get more out of this article than you expected!

Have you ever thought about why there are no other Saint “days” observed (not counting St. Valentine), what makes Saint Patrick so special as to have his own feast and celebration day? If you can answer that, I would then like to ask why this day is observed in places across the world?  Now, here in a America I’ve “celebrated” St. Patrick’s day just like most Americans…using it as another excuse to get wasted by slamming down “Irish Car Bombs”.  Yes, in the name of a saint that I thought I knew all about!  I thought he was all about: The color green, Guinness n Baileys’ Irish Cream, shamrocks, leprechauns, and casting out snakes…I was wrong!

Let us take a look at Ireland before St. Patrick arrived.  The land was filled with a variety of Celtic “clans” that were very prideful, which caused a 1,000 year war between the clans and kingdoms of that territory.  Each clan was fierce on its own, but they were never able to unify in order to advance against Rome.  One way to look at it came from a zoologist:

“A tiger will defeat a lion in battle; but five lions will defeat five tigers because the lions fight together and the tigers do not, so the five lions take on one tiger at a time.”1

The Celtic clans were “tigers” fighting the Roman “lions” so to speak.  The Roman army eventually pushed the Celtic clans west, close to their current locations.  The clans grew and prospered individually.  The religion at the time was an animistic polytheism, which worshiped sun and moon as well as natural objects.  The leaders were known as druids; they had white robes, magic wands, and sacrificed their firstborns to the idol, Crom Crauch.  Note that each clan was distinct from one another and they did not do everything the same. To the outside “world”, these Celtic people looked like “barbarians”. This is a point as to why Christianity did not impact Ireland until St. Patrick landed there.  The Roman Church in that day thought a people had to be “civilized” enough before they could be “Christianized”.  It is believed that Christians came to evangelize in Ireland before St. Patrick, such as Palladius who was ordained by Pope Celestine to do so; as well as others that may have been taken captive there.  Of course no one was able to spread the Gospel through Ireland like St. Patrick did.

Now, let us glance at Patrick before he was a Saint in Ireland.  Patrick was born in the village of Bannavem Taberniae (exact location unknown), to a Christian family.  It is said that his father was a deacon, and his grandfather a priest.  With this being said, there is not much known about Patrick’s early family life, but I would guess that he grew up knowing a little bit about the Bible.  When Patrick was sixteen years of age, he was captured by Celtic pirates and taken away to Ireland.  He was then sold to a tribal chief named Miliucc, who put him to work tending his flocks.   Remarkably, it was in this time that Patrick drew near to God. He said in his own writings,

“Now, after I came to Ireland, tending flocks was my daily occupation, and constantly I used to pray in the day time.  Love of God and the fear of Him increased more and more, and faith grew, and the spirit was moved, so that in one day I would say as many as a hundred prayers, and at night nearly as many, so that I used to stay even in the woods and on the mountain to this end.  And before daybreak I used to be roused to prayer, in snow, in frost, in rain; and I felt no hurt, nor was there any sluggishness in me.”2

Sounds like day and night prayer to me!  Then one night after his six years of captivity, he heard the voice of God. “Thou fastest to good purpose, thou who art soon to go to thy fatherland.” Again he heard, “Lo, thy ship is ready.” So at daybreak he took off and eventually found the ship!  At first he talked to the Captain, by offering his service, but in reply he got, “On no account seek to go with us.” Patrick, disappointed started to walk away when he heard them call him back.  The sailors received him saying, “Come, for we will receive thee in good faith; make friends with us in any way thou desirest.” Sounds like some favor to me! So the ship took off and Patrick made his way back to his homeland.

Join me next time as I will be continuing the journey of St. Patrick from his time back “home”, to his exciting missionary trip back to his slave land that he ended up making his lifelong mission field and resting place.  I’ll tell you one thing, his time in slavery was not in vain!

Until next time,

Patrick Judah
