John Hancock

This is part one of my Patriotic Posts Series (Currently writing on the signers of the Declaration of Independence)

John Hancock was the first of fifty- six men to sign the Declaration of Independence. His signature being first was at the top and it was also the biggest and boldest of them all.  He made quite the exclamation and after penning his now famous name, he said, “There, I guess King George will be able to read that.”

Signing and supporting this declaration was a monumental moment for the signers, the United States of America, and all future generations.  John Hancock and those that followed pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor.

So what was really on the line when John Hancock dipped his quill pen into the jet-black ink well to sign over his LIFE, FORTUNE, and SACRED HONOR?

A year prior to signing he was honored by being elected president of the Continental Congress. Shortly after being elected he married the love of his life, Dorothy “Dolly” Quincy and they were expecting their first child (Lydia) in October of 1776. John had also inherited a staggering fortune after the passing of his uncle.

John Hancock was born January 23, 1737 in Braintree Massachusetts to his father, Reverend John Hancock, and his mother Mary.  John had deep roots in the Christian faith; both his father and grandfather were Congregationalist ministers and graduates of Harvard’s ministerial school.

John would have been a minister of the faith as well if his father had not passed away when he was 7 years old.  His life took a different course than expected but he never gave up his faith.  When John was 13 his childless aunt and uncle adopted him and raised him.  His uncle Thomas Hancock was one of the wealthiest men in New England.  He established and owned an importing and exporting business to Britain and acquired great wealth from it.

John had graduated from Harvard and had since worked for his uncle. When his uncle passed in 1764, John inherited the business becoming known as, “King Hancock”.  Since, he became heavily involved in politics rising up as one of the most well known patriots while fighting for America’s liberties during the Revolutionary War and beyond.  He passed in 1793 and was remember as a generous man willing to lay down all he had for the freedom of America.

John Adams later wrote of him to Jedidiah Morse, 1818.

Of Mr. Hancock’s life, character, generous nature, great and distinguished sacrifices and important services, if I had forces, I should be glad to write a volume. But this I hope will be done by some younger and abler hand.

Reverend Dr. Thatcher, John Hancock’s pastor at Brattle, giving his eulogy said,

“His reverence for religion was never lost. He was interested in every thing that related to the house of God. He exceeded his worthy ancestors in his liberality to this society and proved his real attachment to our peace and happiness. It might have been said of him as of the centurion by the Jews,’He loved our nation and hath built us a synagogue.'”

John Hancock was a great man and I want to continue to highlight his Christian faith.  Being a framer and founder of our constitution I think it is important to remember him for the man of God that he was.

The following is copied from HERE

John Hancock was a lifelong member of the Brattle Street Congregationalist Church. His name was inscribed on the cornerstone of the church for the 1,000 pounds he gave when the church was built. He also bought the church’s bell. He also gave a Bible to a church in Lunenberg and bought another bell for a church in Jamaica Plain.

He made frequent appeals to God in his role as President of the Continental Congress and Governor of Massachusetts. In these public positions, he made many statements of praise and thanks to God for His blessings in the fight for independence, made public requests for prayer and repentance and asserted that God was in control of America’s destiny. Hancock also advocated state support of religious institutions.

Some statements revealing his religious faith from some of his public statements and proclamations include:

  • In a letter to the Continental Army in March 1776, Hancock proclaimed that the same God who had foiled British efforts to conquer Massachusetts would defeat their “deep-laid scheme” against the other colonies as well.
  • In an appeal to all the colonies in September 1776, he stated that members of Congress relied “on Heaven for the justice of our cause.”
  • He also said, “I am persuaded under the gracious smiles of Providence, assisted by our own most strenuous endeavors, we shall finally succeed.”
  • From his inaugural address as governor in 1780, Hancock thanked God for “the peaceable and auspicious” adoption of the new state constitution.
  • In 1782 Hancock reassured members of the Massachusetts legislature that “the favor of heaven” would eventually establish America’s righteous claims.
  • Hancock’s Thanksgiving proclamation the following year encouraged citizens to express their gratitude for God’s numerous blessings and to recognize that their “entire Dependence” was on “His Goodness and Bounty.”

Here are some other well known quotes from him.

“Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual. … Continue steadfast and, with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us.”
History of the United States of America, Vol. II, p. 229.

And in his Boston Massacre oration he stated,

I have the most animating confidence that the present noble struggle for liberty will terminate gloriously for America. And let us play the man for our God, and for the cities of our God; while we are using the means in our power, let us humbly commit our righteous cause to the great Lord of the Universe, who loveth righteousness and hateth iniquity. And having secured the approbation of our hearts, by a faithful and unwearied discharge of our duty to our country, let us joyfully leave our concerns in the hands of him who raiseth up and pulleth down the empires and kingdoms of the world as he pleases; and with cheerful submission to his sovereign will, devoutly say: “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the field shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls; yet we will rejoice in the Lord, we will joy in the God of our salvation.”

•••

Let us not forget the great faith and sacrifice of our founding fathers.  I believe that the LORD is still looking for those with great faith to lay down their lives, fortunes, and honor not just for the freedoms of this nation but most of all for His Kingdom.

I just want to give a quick thank you and God Bless to our Congressman, Jeff Denham!  I was recently encouraged by David Bereit, 40 Days for Life Director, to send an email, “to your Member of Congress RIGHT NOW and tell them how you feel about removing ALL taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers!” So, I did, letting him know how I felt and why I believe funding needs to be pulled from Planned Parenthood.  Here was his response to my email.

Dear Patrick,

Thank you for contacting me regarding the sanctity of life. This is an issue of utmost concern to me, and I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue. I believe that life begins with conception, and that abortion is the immoral termination of an innocent human life. I feel we must emphasize the value of human life, and restore rights to unborn children.

Since 1976, Congress has included the Hyde Amendment in appropriations legislation to prohibit the use of federal dollars to fund abortions through programs like Medicaid. The amendment does not prohibit State funded or privately funded abortions; it only prohibits federal agencies like the Department of Health and Human Services from using federal taxpayer dollars to fund abortion.

I am committed to banning the use of federal funds to pay for the performance of abortions. For that reason, I support H.R. 3, the “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act,” which was introduced by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) on January 20, 2011. According to the Guttmacher Institute, about 25% of Medicaid-eligible women who would otherwise choose abortion choose life when public funds are not available. With 1 in 10 American women covered by Medicaid, the implications of this funding ban are significant.

On February 19th, the House of Representatives passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund federal departments and agencies through the rest of FY2011. This bill restored long standing prohibitions against the use of federal and local funds for abortion and needle exchange programs. I voted in support of Amendment 11 to the CR which prohibits the use of any federal funds from being used by Planned Parenthood Federation of America or any of its affiliates. Amendment 11, introduced by. Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) was included in the CR that passed the House. Currently, the CR is pending in the Senate.

In Congress, I will be an advocate for the rights of the unborn. I will support bills that are life-affirming, increase parental rights, provide necessary barriers to make it more difficult to get an abortion, and deny federal funding to groups and practices that provide abortive procedures of any kind. I care deeply about the dignity and sanctity of unborn human life. Rest assured, I will continue to fight for the rights of the unborn.

Finally, I encourage you to visit my website at www.denham.house.gov to get the most current information on my work in Congress. Once again, thank you for contacting me. Please keep in touch.

Sincerely,

JEFF DENHAM
United States Representative

Thank you Congressman, Jeff Denham, for being an advocate for life, a voice for the unborn!  I pray that God will continue to use you in this position to bring justice and to influence others in your sphere about the importance of life.  Also a BIG thanks to the rest of our Congressmen who voted yes on the Pence amendment…find out who voted what, HERE.

Have you caught wind of the latest HISTORIC VOTE to defund Planned Parenthood by stripping them of their taxpayer funding?

What is Planned Parenthood might be your first question…It is an organization that, “is many things to many people, to me, it is the LARGEST abortion chain in America! They do about *320,000 abortions a year!

If that’s not enough they have recently been exposed on undercover cameras for,

“Willing to aid and abet the trafficking of underage “sex workers” by offering advice to an undercover investigator posing as a “pimp” on how to obtain secret abortions, contraception, and STD tests.” Lifesitenews.com

You can find that video coverage right HERE

And you can find other videos of PP and their abuses HERE

How much funding do they actually get a year from taxpayer funding…Around *$350,000,000!!!

What was the vote in the House of Representatives…It was an overpowering majority vote of 240 to 185! A huge victory for pro lifers!

And just so you are aware, the voting of this amendment is not removing all money that the government offers to health care providers…NO, it is just removing the funds from the health care providers that provide the killing of innocent babies with the money that is offered to them.

I believe Lila Rose response to this momentous news says it best.

“We applaud those in Congress who championed the safety of women, young girls and children today, and refused to funnel hundreds of millions of tax dollars into an organization that furthers the trafficking of minors and enables sexual abusers. We now turn our attention to the Senate. Now they must examine the facts and move to pull the plug on subsidizing Planned Parenthood’s exploitation of the most vulnerable among us. The case to cease funding is crystal clear. But for any Senator who remains unsure, imagine explaining to your constituents that you voted to keep sending $350 million of their tax dollars to a ‘non-profit’ that puts young girls in harm’s way and made $63 million in profits by aborting 300,000 unborn children last year. It’s time once and for all to stop financing these activities.” – Lila Rose, President of Live Action

Sadly, in a new video, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards condemns House passage on February 18 of an amendment that would defund PP by saying ,

“It’s funding that saves lives, and they killed it”…

The abortion of 320,000 murdered baby’s is not saving lives, it is in fact the killing of lives!

This is far from over, as now the amendment must be passed by the Senate.  The opposition is heated and the line has been drawn very clear.  LIFE or DEATH?  I pray that you join in this HISTORIC CAUSE by spreading the word and taking a stand for LIFE.  The passing of this amendment will be a day to remember.

Hello Friends,

I am re “hi-jacking” this from Renee Loux blog in hopes that you would help support this amazing family!

HiJacked for a Good Cause! Nominate Renee for EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER

// January 28th, 2011 // Loux Family News

Sorry, Ne, you’ve been Hijacked!

This is Renee’s sister in law, Tracie Loux. I found out today that Extreme Home Makeover is looking for a candidate for a makeover here in the state of MISSOURI!!!

As you know that my sister -in- law, Renee’ and her beautiful children lost their husband and daddy in 2009 just 2 days before Christmas. Renee and Derek worked together trumpeting the cause of the orphan. They not only spoke out in defense of the fatherless, they put actions to their words by bringing children into their own home.

Renee and Derek’s first son, Josiah was born with Spina Bifida and passed away at age 2 1/2. Josiah’s incredible life opened their eyes and ours to the precious gift of children with special needs. They went on to have 2 beautiful daughters Sophia and Michaela. Over the past 10 years, Derek and Renee adopted 8 children. Their 5 daughters, Teyolla, Keyolla, Telma, Leeann, and Sana are all adopted from the Marshall Islands . Through Derek and Renee’s loving parenting, much prayer, and devotion to their daughters, these precious beauties have walked through incredible healing and restoration. Their 3 precious boys (Sasha, Ethan, and Silas) were abandoned at birth in an orphanage in Ukraine. Sasha has Spina Bifida. Ethan and Silas both have Down syndrome. The boys were severely malnourished, emotionally neglected and were suffering on so many levels. Derek and Renee literally nursed Ethan, a 5 year old weighing 11 lbs, unable to walk or even crawl, back to life! As a family we witness this starving, sick little boy come back to life, a true miracle of God’s kindness and his parent’s loving commitment.

After, her husband’s death, my precious sister in law, not only walked through grief and suffering with her children in such a remarkable way, she also stood tall, determined to carry on the mission that she and Derek worked passionately for- defending orphans and standing for justice.

Renee currently serves as the director of the Orphan Justice Center in Kansas City, MO with the mission to RESCUE, ADOPT, and RESTORE! The goal of OJC is to raise awareness, equip families to adopt, and establish safe, restorative communities for orphans.

In addition on a personal level, Renee continues to walk heroically, bringing orphans into her home and calling them her own. Since Derek’s death, Renee has brought a beautiful 1 year old boy, Judah, into her home, has taken in a little blind girl, Joanna to assist her parents in getting her the care and education she needs to thrive, and has opened her home and offered to legally adopt a 30 year old, Dawn, an orphan herself, who is working on the streets of Ecuador caring for orphans.

Renee has been given 45 acres in Grandview, MO to help her walk out the vision she and Derek had to build a home with space enough to personally take in 30+ orphans. Their dream together was to take in children with special needs and provide them with a loving home where they could be restored and healed. Their dream was to have horticultural therapy, equine therapy, along with traditional therapies (physical, occupational and speech).

When I heard today that Extreme Home Makeover was looking for a deserving family in the state of Missouri, I couldn’t think of a more deserving family. This precious family: Renee, her mother Flo, and the 12 children currently in their home, share a 4 bedroom home that is bursting at the seams. They have exhausted every available space and have simply run out of room. Renee doesn’t know the word “No” when it comes to children in need. Their garage and family room have both been converted to extra sleeping space, and there is simply no room left. In addition, their current home has three floors and requires Renee to lift Sasha and his wheelchair from level to level so that he can be with the family.

When someone as rare and precious as my sister Renee desires to love and live her life in a away that to some may seem extreme, extravagant, or hard to even fathom, it seems just wrong to see something like MORE ROOM hold her back from LOVING LARGE!

If you would please help spread the word and nominate Renee Loux for this amazing opportunity to be considered for an Extreme Home Makeover. If you have been touched by this story, I would also encourage you to blog, post on FB or share in anyway possible.

DIRECTIONS:

Email nominations to CastingMissouri@gmail.com

Each nomination must include the names, ages of everyone in the house, a description of the major challenges within the home and a short description of the family story. (Feel free to copy and paste some of the information above if you need, but your own connection to Renee would be great to share as well!)

Here’s a list of their names and ages if you’d like to copy and paste, though I encourage you to write a personal description of this sweet family if you know them at all.

I am thrilled to say that me, my wife, and 3-month-old girl, Liberty, joined in with an estimated 50,000 PRO-LIFERS in the Walk for Life West Coast on Saturday, January 22nd.  It was a perfect day in the bay as we walked from Justin Herman Plaza to the Marina Greens.  It was only a 2.5-mile walk but with so many peaceful pedestrians the pace was protracted while the pulse from the peoples was lively in the proclaiming of how precious LIFE is!

The mile long flow of joyous people streamed through the city with radiant sunshine beating down while a very small, vulgar, and dark cloud of opposition was left standing on the sidelines to watch all 50,000 plus PRO- LIFERS walk by.  What a statement we made!  Regardless of how the “big” press covered it, the PRO-LIFE people were seen and heard and could not be ignored.  It was great to see so much diversity in race, religion, and age to come into UNITY with something that we all hold dear, LIFE.

Check out this video footage from one of the speakers at the walk, Abby Johnson:

She just came out with a new book called, UNPLANNED, get your hands on a copy to find out the truth and how important this issue of LIFE really is.  Here is a link to check out the first chapter of her book, Unplanned, http://40daysforlife.s3.amazonaws.com/chapter1.pdf

Here are some photos from the walk:

Tuolumne Bound4Life Chapter

You can’t go wrong when you are surrounded in a sea full of people that value and cherish LIFE. Thank you to all that helped put this on and to those that showed up so that others could see that the tides are changing and a GIGANTIC wave of PRO-LIFERS are crashing on the scene with Light and LIFE to reveal the Truth; breaking through the deception of pro-choice, planned parenthood, and abortion!

Thanks for reading, hope to see you all there next year! And remember, “Without LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are not possible.”

Blessings,

Patrick Judah

Hello Friends,

It has now been 10 days since TheCall in Sacramento, California.  I was blessed to be able to attend it with friends and family, what an impactful day!  We were blessed the night before with a sweet compilation of worship and prophecy that released a peace into our hearts that prepared us for a full day of prayer and fasting.  I don’t know if any of you have been to a Call before or if you made it to this one, but they can be physically draining.  I really think that the night of worship before prepared my heart for the day to come.

This years Call was filled with hungry hearts of young and old, it was really cool to see full family’s there with there babies and young children, just as Joel 2:16 says, “Gather the people, sanctify the congregation,Assemble the elders, Gather the children and the nursing infants.”

Cambria Esther Atkins

There is something that happens when you gather the Body of Christ together!  The rest of Joel 2:16 says, “Let the bridegroom come out of his room And the bride out of her bridal chamber.” TheCall brought us all out of our comfort zones, our prayer closets, our churches, and into the public arena to declare our love and devotion to our Bridegroom King, Jesus Christ!  And guess what?  He came and met us where we were and He responded to the cry of our hearts.

The day started with personal reflection and repentance of anything in our own hearts that may be hindering us and those around us from getting closer to the Lord.  It was a time of searching, seeking, and asking what it is that we need to repent of and let go of to move forward.  This Call had a huge Cross in the back that we would draw our attention to so that we could lay it all down before Him, the One who took all our sins and washed it away with His blood as He was nailed to the cross.

After this personal call to repentance we were lead by different leaders in the Body of Christ to pray against some of the devastating immorality and idolatry that plagues our nation, government, social fabric, educational systems, churches, family’s, homes, babies, and personal lives.  Some of these issues included sex trafficking, abortion, homosexuality, immoral governmental leaders, personal compromise, and more.  I must say I was heavily impacted when a documentary film producer of sex trafficking held up a little child’s blood stained clothes that were found at the scene of a sex trafficking bust.  How can this be happening in our nation,  a nation with a deep conviction against slavery?  Yet this is happening in most major U.S. cities! The good news is God is revealing this darkness and answering our prayers by catching the sex traffickers, healing and setting victims free, as well as having Craig’s List ban “Adult Services” on it’s page.  May I remind you, as well as myself, to continue to pray for this issues as we know the Lord is listening and responding.

Another thing that really convicted me was the call sent out for HOLINESS and PURITY!  My generation is so filled with excess and over stimulation that we don’t even know what true holiness and purity even is.  We are surrounded by constant entertainment, technology, fashion, noise, celebrity’s, gossip, slander, drunkenness, compromise, darkness, deception, depression, immorality, etc… that we don’t even have a mindset for what the Lord has called us to.  Corey Russel shared from the stage that,

“Christianity isn’t boring, you are!”

WOW!  How can we know if God is truly fun, exciting, and adventurous if we are giving all of our time to the counterfeit with self seeking pleasures and gratifications?  O’ Lord, set my generation free from the bondage and raise up an army of young reckless abandoned lovers of YOU!  Set us free Lord.  Take our generation from holy-less to HOLINESS!

I know this little blip can’t give you the fullness of what was poured out at the solemn assembly of prayer and fasting but I pray that it will stir you enough to seek out what God is saying to you individually and what He is pouring out to His Body corporately. Join TheCall by responding and joining a world wide movement of lovesick believers that will not back down or compromise until the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

START WITH ME, SEND REVIVAL!

Hello Friends,

I hope all of you that are reading this, are aware of TheCall and it’s founder Lou Engle.  If not, may this article encourage you to find out more about them both and even inspire you to attend this upcoming Call in Sacramento, Ca September 3-4, 2010 to see for yourself.

TheCall is not an event. TheCall is a movement emphasizing prayer, worship and fasting for Spiritual breakthrough. It is a nameless and faceless movement joining the generations. It is not a convention of celebrities or rock show. The musicians on stage are worshipers, not entertainers. The board of directors will not receive financial compensation, speakers and leaders come at their own expense.

I have seen Lou Engle at several different events outside of TheCall and his message has always pierced my heart with truth and conviction.   The first time I saw Lou Engle was at a Jesus Culture in Redding California.  He was speaking to a large gathering of teenagers and young adults and the atmosphere was hungry for a deep relationship with Jesus.  Lou Engle was teaching on Joseph and Daniel and was declaring and prophesying over the crowd that God is raising up young ones to live as Daniel and Joseph did.  Then he made a call for those that want to make a vow, like the Nazarites, to come up and commit themselves to the Lord and not to the things of this world.  The front of the room was filled with fiery young ones and the Spirit of the Lord was moving.  Yes, Lou Engle is very intense on the stage and his intensity is followed with words that are even more intense, but the man and the message need to be received! There is something about a message that is filled with fire and passion that reminds me of the apostolic teachings of the disciples and of the Prophets of old in the Bible.  It seems like in this day and age there are too many teaching about how to get comfortable now and how to be accepted by everyone.  From what I have seen and heard from Lou, I know that he has compassion for this nation and for the Words that the Lord has spoken that have upheld this nation.  He has been called to call those that are hungry and are longing to see the Father return to this blessed nation.  He is calling us to a lifestyle of fasting and prayer, not out of a “religious duty” but out of a relationship with Jesus that says, “I am hungry and only You can satisfy and only You can come swiftly with justice to those who cry out day and night for You.”

I also saw him at TheCall San Diego in 2009.  This was another crucial time for the state of California when Prop 8 was being voted on.  The whole day was filled with repentance and crying out for forgiveness.  There is something about gathering together with one voice and one heart that causes you to realize that God is the only answer.  You don’t have to be a scholar of the Bible, you don’t have to have it all figured out, you don’t have to be a pro faster, you don’t have to have the best prayer life ever, you don’t have to be perfect, all you have to be is weak and all you have to do is show up.

This Call in Sacramento is being held at another critical time for our nation and state.  Not only is it the 10th year anniversary of TheCall, but it is also right before the elections and I’d say anytime is a good time to gather the Body of Christ together to fast and pray to see the Lord respond to His people.  The time is now and the trumpets are blowing, will you respond?…BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED!

Also check out this message, CALIFORNIA DREAMING, to hear Lou Engle himself about the history of TheCall and the importance of it all.
See you all there!

Patrick Judah

P.S.

As some of you may know I have been writing about mystics of the past that have had some major impact and influence on our Christian History.  Now, I don’t want to get anyone confused or upset, but I am putting this article under my “Mystic of the Month” category.  I am not titling him to being a mystic in the sense that some may use the word.  However, I feel that Lou Engle, in his passion for prayer and fasting is reviving some of the ancient paths that many of the apostles, disciples, and mystics walked out in their time. Let me know if you have any concerns or questions. Thanks.

I want to dedicate this article to Martin Luther King, Jr. and to his fight for FREEDOM and JUSTICE!

Martin Luther King was born January 15, 1929 and assassinated April 4, 1968.  He fought hard against racial segregation and discrimination and I know the fruit of his labors have made a huge impact for today’s civil rights.   Dr. King was a man of God and was a man for God’s people.  Not only did he “talk” about these important issues, he “stood”, “sat”, “marched” and was “imprisoned” for his pursuits to see his country and country men FREE. In 1964 he became the youngest man to receive the Nobel Peace Price for his courage to stand against these injustices.  Like I said, he earned this high award by more than just talks and empty promises, but by the physical change that his acts brought to the nation.  Dr. King was given a gift from God to rally the people together around a “DREAM” for a better country and a greater future.

Well I was not apart of Martin Luther Kings Jr.’s generation, but I can stand here today and tell you that we need to use his roof as our launching pad.  In Martin Luther Kings, “Dream” speech, he said,” I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”  I stand by these words from a wise man, a man that I know would be standing next to me on this issue of injustice that we face today…ABORTION.

Abortion attacks the very foundation of everything that Martin Luther King fought for and is tearing down our nation today.  Martin Luther King said, “Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s children.”  Well where was the justice for the 48 MILLION babies aborted since 1973?  Their blood is crying out right now, who is going to speak for them? Who is going to fight for them? Our President’s not, our judges haven’t, our doctors aren’t…then WHO WILL?  (Please keep our President, Judges, and Doctors in prayer over this issue and others like it)

I’m not going to drag this issue out, it’s been debated long enough…it’s time we see a change!  Here are some things to think about on this issue, from the Creator of all things.

Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man.Genesis 9:6 (We are created in the image of the Creator, how can we defile Him with the killing of His own image?)

So you shall not pollute the land in which you are; for blood pollutes the land and no expiation can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it.Numbers 35:33 (I find it insane that this nation is more concerned about car pollution and global warming…when this clearly states that what’s truly polluting our land is the shedding of man’s blood)

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. Jeremiah 1:5 (How can you say a fetus is not a human?  This clearly states that He knew us before conception!)

This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.” Psalm 102:18 (A people yet to be created, like you and me and billions more)

So please stand with me on this issue as we honor and respect Martin Luther King, Jr. today for being a man that would not back down for the injustices of the people.  As Dr. King said, “It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment.”, “And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back.

(sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Luther_King,_Jr.)

I will be posting some links and videos soon that touch further on this subject.

In His name,

Patrick Judah
