I just had an amazing week with some new friends from Washington: Tyler, Christine, their son Joshua Johnson and close friend, Adam. They are amazing History Makers and they are bringing the full gospel of God wherever they go. It was an honor to meet them and stand by them as they poured out what God has blessed them with into our county. I felt a whole new level of love and freedom released into our county from their devout passion for seeing the message of the Gospel come alive! We literally witnessed people get healed, saved, and baptized; it was and is very encouraging!
I was able to spend some time with them and I got to capture what really drives them as well as their ministry. It is really simple but profound and it’s found in Song of Solomon 4:9, “You have ravished my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes.” I have read this scripture before but my eyes and my heart were opened up to a new level of awe. God really loves us and delights in us when we just spend time with Him, regardless of what’s going on around us. He truly delights in us! We don’t have to perform or strive for anything; just sitting with Him ravishes His heart. Resting in His presence allows Him to rest in us. He says in Acts 7:49 ” ‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? Says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be?” He is longing for us to just open up our doors to Him. He is a good Father and has nothing but good things to bestow to His children. Will you be His resting place?
Tyler said at The S.H.O.P. that, “Faith is belief that God is good.” The world may not always portray His love and sometimes it’s easy to say, “Well if God is good, then why did this happen?” We have to know from the deepest place in our hearts, that He loves and does not operate out of anger towards us. With this faith and understanding, we can be fueled to step deeper into what He has already given us. We can not move forward without this understanding. Each day my heart wants to know Him more and my faith is increased as I realize more and more that He simply loves me for who I am. Now I can have the boldness and courage that Joshua had to take the land that is rightfully ours so that His Kingdom may be established.
As History Makers and shapers let’s just go for all that God wants to give us. Let’s be more than conquers by allowing God to work through us and having the faith to know it is all good from the King of Kings! We have all the strength we need through Him to see the Gospel of the Kingdom come alive! Psalm 107:9, “For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Are we hungry for Revival? Are we thirsty enough to: Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons? Let’s not be satisfied until we see His Kingdom here on earth and are able to delight in Him and Him in us for eternity!
